This yoga class is a blend of Hatha Yoga, focusing on balance, core work and breath along with a series of Vinyasa – meaning Breath Synchronized Movement. This class incorporates simultaneous movement as you transition between movements and breaths. Great for beginners and intermediate.
The word hatha describes any kind of yoga in which poses are done. Remember that yoga has eight limbs, only one of which, asana, is concerned with yoga poses. If you do Ashtanga, as different as it may seem, it is also hatha yoga.
Slow Flow Yoga
Our Slow Flow Yoga class consists of slower pace linking movements, with breath and focus on proper alignment in the poses. Improve balance, flexibility and posture while relieving stress. This class is great for beginners, but appropriate for all levels.
Vinyasa flow is sometimes called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you to flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.
Power Yoga is a a fitness-based vinyasa practice. Also an offshoot of Ashtanga Yoga, it has many of the same qualities and benefits, including building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as stress reduction.
You can expect to find some intense flowing yoga with a minimal amount of chanting and meditation. Power Yoga brings together the best of both worlds to create a fun and engaging workout. Prepare to work hard and work up a sweat.
